For us songwriting is the heart of the music industry. Artists, companies and audiences alike are profiting from their capabilities. Neither sales nor musical enjoyment exist without the ideas of a songwriter. That’s why our competition is focused on the style and the craft of music creators. You’re passionate about writing, producing and performing? Then the “European Songwriting Awards” is the perfect opportunity for you!

Behind the ESA’s: A strong partnership!

- The entertainment company “Songzz Media” is experienced and successful in working with songwriters and artists all around the world. Songzz Media is also the host of the Berlin Song Week, with events like the “SongsCon”, a convention specialized in the craft of songwriters and producers, and the “German Songwriting Awards”, a competition for songwriters and producers with various categories and the support of all the big players in the music industry (Universal, Warner, Sony, BMG etc.). Together with MUSEXPO, Songzz Media was hosting the first “We Create Music Los Angeles” in Hollywood in March 2020.

RULES

Please read the following rules carefully before entering the contest:

01. We are looking for great songwriters, not great producers. A simple home or live recording of a song has the same chance as a professional recording.

02. Entrants retain full song ownership rights and all copyrights to all songs submitted. Entering the contest does not in any way affect the writers' ownership of their songs.

03. Each song must be an original musical composition of which the contestant owns the copyright and authority to submit the composition in the contest. Songs released via major & big indie labels are not allowed to be submitted. Payment for each composition entered in the contest must be made at the time of submission.

04. Entries from all over the world are welcome. There are no limitations on age or nationality.

05. Contestants can enter more than one song into the competition. Also, the same song can be submitted in multiple categories.

06. The entry fee for one song is 30 EURO. The entry fee is non-refundable.

07. Songs may have multiple co-writers. All co-writers' names should be entered on the entry form. Co-writers names should be seperated by a slash and space (e.g.: first writer / second writer / third writer) to ensure that names appear correctly on the certificates.

08. The judges decisions are final and binding and entrants agree by entering the contest to accept the results.
